Stanley Ellington Brook January 3, 1931 - October 13, 2017 Stan (Barney) set sail peacefully with his family by his side. He was born and lived his entire life in Vancouver. He is dearly missed by his loving wife Evelyn of 66 years; children April/Deb (Gerry), Bob (Linda), David (Denise); gramps and Peewee to his grandchildren Graham (Erin), Kevin (Ashley), Kirstie (Adam), Jenny (Darren); great-grands Oscar, Hawley, Aubrey, Mavis; sister Shirley and niece Heather (Bijan). Stan joined the Vancouver Fire Dept. in 1954 and retired as Battalion Chief in 1989. His greatest passion was sailing. In his early years he played football and loved hockey both on and off the ice. He enjoyed racquetball with his buddy Barry into his 86th year.
