It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Donald Lee. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Joyce, his son David, daughter Jackie (Paul) and his beloved granddaughters Lauryn, Meaghan and Breanna. Don grew up and went to school in East Vancouver. Upon graduation he obtained his certification in automotive mechanics. He joined the Vancouver Fire Department in 1963 and retired in 1993. Don enjoyed playing and coaching soccer and lacrosse. He loved fishing and hunting trips with friends. Many happy years were spent in Birch Bay where he especially enjoyed his weekly golf games. For over 30 years, Don hosted a Boxing Day/Open House party, which was his favourite day of the year. He also looked forward to our regular dinners with the "lacrosse parents" where he enjoyed reminiscing. Don lived a full life with a positive attitude and a smile on his face. He will be deeply missed.
