Jim learned early that a task worth doing was worth doing well. He loved pursuing new challenges such as construction, politics, volunteering, antique cars and his favourite past-time was exploring the back country on his quad.

Jim retired as a District Chief after 33 rewarding and challenging years with the Calgary Fire Department, as a member of IAFF Local 255. Our family remember our Rock as loving, inspiring and always supportive no matter what life’s circumstances were. Time shared with his grandchildren was so precious to him. Jim truly made a difference to so many people that he touched along his journey. He would be humbled to be honoured by this year’s memorial.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife Carol and his children Tracey and Kelly.
