Biographical Comments
Les Badry was a kind and gentle man. He was beloved by his family and friends and known as someone you could always count on. He began his firefighting career in 1963 to support his loving wife, Eleanor, and their four young children. He embraced his new career and quickly gained the respect of his fellow fire fighters, rising through the ranks, throughout his 38 years with the Department retiring as District Chief in 1998. He is deeply missed but his family remains forever grateful for the man he was, the difference he made and the indelible memories he left behind.
(Submitted by the Badry Family for the 2013 Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial)
