It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Captain Brian Coles, IAFF 13th District Local 3888 - Toronto, Ontario. Brother Coles, 79, passed away on Feb. 12, 2025 after succumbing to occupational cancer.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025 at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home, 8088 Yonge Street, Thornhill, Ontario L4J1W3; phone: (905)889-8889.

Sadly, TPFFA has be notified of the passing of retired Acting District Chief Brian Robert Coles father of our late TPFFA brother Captain Sean Coles who passed June 2024. ADC Coles was 79 years young.



Brother Coles was hired by the Toronto Fire Department at the age of 21 on October 7th, 1966, and retired after 31 years of service on June 15th, 1997.
