Biographical Comments
Captain Bob Owen began his career with the City of Nanaimo Fire Department on Feb 17, 1966 and retired after 30 years of service. Bob succumbed to heart disease complicated by pulmonary fibrosis. Bob was known for his quick wit, crazy cartooning and his love of rugby. Whenever Bob was around, the sound of laughter was everywhere to be heard. Forever Remembered, Forever Loved.
(Submitted by the Owen Family for the 2011 Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial)
