Don joined the fire department in 1966 and served 23 years. He loved his career and the men he worked with. They became one big family. Don was a kind and gentle man with a great sense of humour. Don was always ready to help with his plumbing skills and strong back. He was a loving husband, cherished father, a true friend, a caring mentor, beloved brother and son. He left us far too early and leaves a void that will never be filled. (Submitted by the Kennedy family for the 2017 IAFF Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial)
