Captain John Miharija joined the Burnaby Fire Department in 1968 where he proudly served for 31 years. John was an avid car enthusiast; however, his favorite hobby was golf and famously scored a hole-in-one. John will especially be remembered for his profound dedication to his family. All of his children are proud to have had a father who had time to be a hero to them after long days and nights of heroic efforts on the job.
