It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Assistant Chief Ronald Stubbings, IAFF 6th District Local 967, Saanich, British Columbia. Brother Stubbings passed away on March 18, 2023, after succumbing to occupational cancer.

A celebration of life will be held on Sat., April 22, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the South Vancouver Island Rangers Club, 3498 Luxton Road, Victoria, BC V9C 2Z5; phone: (250) 478-1369

Biographical Comments
Ron Stubbings began his career as a Saanich Fire Fighter September 14th 1970 and progressed to Assistant Chief before retiring November 30th 2004. Ron is survived by his Wife Sharon, daughter Alana, and Son Trevor who followed him into the Fire Service in 2003.
