It is with deepest sorrow and regret to report the line-of-duty death of Leslie A. Dionne, IAFF 6th District Local 1271, Surrey, BC. Brother Dionne, 68, passed away on February 16, 2018 from leukemia.

The funeral will take place on March 9, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Peace Portal Alliance Church, 15128 27B, Surrey, BC ; phone 604-531-4733. Reception to immediately follow.

Biographical Comments
Les was 68 years old and had worked for the Surrey Fire Service from October 1972 to May 2009. In 2010 Les saw his son Danny Dionne, Badge #488 join the Surrey Fire Service.

Les was a valued member of the Fire Department, Surrey Fire Fighters' Association, and the Surrey Fire Fighters’ Alumni. He developed many close friendships over his 36.5 year career, and will be missed dearly. Let us remember Les’ positive spirit and dedication to the Surrey Fire Service and SFFA Local 1271.
