It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty death of Captain Garry E. Grummett of IAFF Local 2461 - Strathcona County, Alberta. Brother Grummett passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 from Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church, 298 Bethel Drive, Sherwood Park, Alberta T8H 2C3, (780) 417-7775.

Biographical Comments
Garry started his full-time career with Strathcona County Emergency Services in 1975. Garry was a Charter member of local 2461, chairman of Muscular Dystrophy and Burn Treatment charities. Garry had a passion to support the community and was the energy behind many local charity events. Captain Grummett retired in 2000.
