It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Captain Kenneth A. Hagen, IAFF 13th District Local 3888, Toronto, Ontario. Brother Hagen passed away on January 18, 2023 after succumbing to an occupational cancer.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 23, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Patterson Funeral Home, 6062 Main Street, Niagara Falls, Ontario L2G 5Z9; phone: (905)358-3513. The Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

HAGEN, Kenneth 'Ken' - Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday January 18, 2023 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital at the age of 76. Beloved husband of 35 years to Marie. Cherished step father to Sheila Dowe ( Rex Lane), Sherry Reber-Roberts, Carol (Randy) Bell and Crystal (Kevin) Woolmer and loving step grandfather to 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Ken will be deeply missed by his siblings Doreen, Verna, Greg as well as many nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Saskatchewan, he moved to Toronto and became a firefighter working for the Toronto Fire Department Station 9 and at Station 7. After he retired, together with his wife Marie he moved to Niagara Falls. You couldn't find a better man than Ken, he was kind, giving and talented man. He was an awesome athlete, photographer and loved to travel. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main Street Niagara falls, visiting Monday January 23, 2023 from 5 to 8 pm and Tuesday from 10 am to 12 pm. A Funeral Service in celebration of his life will take place at the funeral home at 12pm. on Tuesday January 24 2023. Cremation will follow.
