Biographical Comments

François was born August 24, 1952 and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He spent several years living in the United States including Santa Fe, New Mexico prior to moving and settling in Calgary, Alberta. François started as a Calgary Fire Fighter in October 1981. He was passionate about his career spending the last nine years as a training officer. He was particularity proud of being an educator training over 700 recruits and was involved with many of the positive changes to the training program. He loved the outdoors and all the activities including hiking, biking, canoeing, climbing and was a health enthusiast. François and his wife Helen enjoyed extensive travel through Europe, the United States and Canada as well as wintering in Mexico. François was an amazing husband, father and grandpa. He will be forever in our hearts.
