Brother Gilbert Smith passed away on November 29, 2015 from pancreatic cancer as a result of repeated exposures over a 31 year career at the SeaTac International Airport. Brother Smith was an ARFF FF/EMT/Engineer, and head of the airport HAZMAT team. His death was officially pronounced as a result of his occupation as a FF in September of 2017, to the relief of his immediate and extended families. He is survived by his wife Cheryl and children Romala, Gilbert, Fortune and Ilisha. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Local 1257.
