It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty death of Assistant Chief Don Baxter, Sr. of IAFF Local 905 - Nanaimo, British Columbia. Brother Baxter passed away on August 16, 2016 from heart disease.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Beban Park Social Centre, 2300 Bowen Road, Nanaimo, British Columbia V9R 1Z7, (250) 756-5200.

Don was an active retired member of Local 905. Strong supporter of the Local, the BCPFFA and the IAFF.
Long standing President of Local 905 and Trustee of the BCPFFA.
Don always had the members of the Association as his number one priority.
