It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Captain James D. Mastison, Jr, IAFF 8th District Local 357 - Evansville, Indiana. Brother Mastison Jr., 62, passed away on Feb. 16, 2025 after succumbing to occupational cancer.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 21, 2025 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, 5330 Washington Ave, Evansville, Indiana. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, Feb., 22, 2025 at 12 p.m. at the same address.
