Biographical Comments
Kelly was always larger than life. His enthusiasm for life and his desire to achieve was evident in the way he lived his life. He truly loved and respected his job as a fire fighter, but nothing was more important to him than his family. He was a selfless man, never wanting for himself, only for his family and friends. He was a natural athlete, excelling in every sport, especially hockey. His love of sports was passed on to his children and to the many athletes he coached, both in hockey and softball. He was also an avid gardener, artist and lover of 50s & 60s music. As busy as his life was he was never too busy to lend a hand or to stop and share an amusing story.
(Submitted by the Ferner Family for the 2005 Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial)
