It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Firefighter John B. Bowker, IAFF 13th District Local 169, Peterborough, Ontario. Brother Bowker, 64, passed away on October 19, 2022 after succumbing to an occupational cancer.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Stone House Hall at Peterborough Curling Club, 2195 Lansdowne Street, Peterborough Ontario K9J 6X4; phone: (705) 745-8252.

Retired member, proud member of Peterborough Fire Services for 29 years, passed away after a battle with occupational cancer.
Before retiring, was Involved with L0169 Executive in many facets and was instrumental in developing medical training for the Service.
