it is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of driver/engineer david w. pleasant, iaff 14th district local 1784, memphis, tennessee. brother pleasant, 59, died on august 10, 2022 of injuries sustained in a apparatus collision.

visitation will be held on monday, august 22, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at bellevue baptist church, 2000 appling road, cordova, tennessee 38016; phone: 901-347-2000. the funeral service will be held on tuesday, august 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Biographical Comments

32 year veteran of the MFD. Involved in an MVA which the ladder truck he was driving rolled over. On the DROP and scheduled to retire October 15, 2023.
