It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty death of Captain Dean Larivee of IAFF Local 2864 - Abbotsford, British Columbia. Brother Larivee, 56, died on Monday, July 10, 2006 from cancer. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Abbotsford Pentecostal Assembly, 3145 Gladwin Road, Abbotsford, BC V2T 5T4, (604) 853-8158. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Research Society. Contact the Henderson Funeral Home at (604) 854-5534.

Biographical Comments
Dean was a very dedicated fire fighter and training Captain. He looked forward to going to work everyday and was very proud of the brotherhood of his fellow fire fighters. Dean loved to golf and be with his friends. He was a very loving husband and father. Dean was a hero in his profession and in his short battle with leukemia. He was always a very positive person even to the very end and he is so greatly missed.
