It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Driver/Engineer Matthew J. McGovern, IAFF 4th District Local 12, Wheeling, West Virginia. Brother McGovern, 52, passed away on January 9, 2023 after succumbing to an occupational cancer.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, January 13, 2023 from 12:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home, 1 Ridgecrest Road, Bethlehem/Wheeling, West Virginia 26003; phone:(304) 232-0400.
