It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Driver/Engineer Robert D. Keese, IAFF 9th District Local 5, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Brother Keese, 55, passed away on Oct. 20, 2023, after suffering a medical emergency.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023, at 11 a.m. at New Life Church, 11025 Voyager Parkway, Colorado Springs, CO, 80921; phone: (719) 594-6602.

Biographical Comments
Bobby Keese joined the CSFD on May 17, 1993 and was promoted to Driver/Engineer in February 1999. Bobby was one of our excellent driver/mentors for the CSFD and Local 5. In February of 2023 he was recognized with CSFD's first ever Outstanding Mentorship Award. He leaves behind his wife Cynthia, his children Mikaela and Ryan, his father Larry (retired CSFD driver/engineer), mother Marsha and brother Mark. Bobby will be missed.
