It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty death of Lieutenant Edward Suarez, IAFF 3rd District Local 3128, Fitchburg, MA. Brother Suarez, 47, passed away on August 9, 2020 from Brain Cancer.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2020 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg MA 01420; phone: (978) 343-4444. The Funeral will take place at 10:00 am on Friday. August 14, 2020 at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 1400 Main St., Leominster MA 01453; phone: (978) 342-2978.

Biographical Comments
The Fitchburg Fire Department regrets to announce the active duty death of Lieutenant Eddie Suarez, Group 2 Engine 2. Lt Suarez passed early Sunday morning after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Lt. Eddie Suarez, who was president of Local 3128, served the citizens of the city & members of the local with tenacity, pride and dedication. Thoughts and prayers to those he left behind, his wife and two daughters along with his brother Fitchburg Fire Captain Dante Suarez and his parents.
