Biographical Comments
After a battle with pancreatic cancer, Chief Hricik died early Thursday morning, on February 23, 2023, surrounded by family and loved ones.

Chief Hricik began his EMS career with the Alexandria Fire Department in 1997 after volunteering in Prince William County, and he was well respected by all who knew him. Over the past 25 years, Chief Hricik proved himself as an outstanding leader and advocate for a high performing EMS system.

His dedication to our profession and knowledge of fire and emergency services is one of the reasons for our organization’s success.
