It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Captain George Turley, IAFF 14th District Local 820 – Chattanooga, Tennessee. Brother Turley, 58, passed away on Dec. 14, 2024, after suffering a medical emergency.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec. 20, at 1 p.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church, 930 Ashland Terrace, Hixson, TN 37415.

Biographical Comments
George was a 32 year career firefighter when he passed away due to a medical emergency he suffered while serving as the Company Officer of Engine 16 in the Lupton City section of Chattanooga, Tn. He was the Captain of LODD Senior FireFighter Chad Crisp who passed away from occupational Cancer in August 2020.
