It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty death of Battalion Chief Mark R. Godbold, IAFF 2nd District Local 2542, Olathe, Kansas. Brother Godbold, 57, passed away on May 9, 2022 after a courageous battle with occupational cancer.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 5:00 -8:00 pm at Heartland Community Church, 12175 S. Strang Line Road, Olathe, Kansas; phone: (913) 341-5820. The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 1:00 pm, also at Heartland Community Church.
