It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Lieutenant Alexander Acosta, IAFF 12th District Local 1403 – Metropolitan Dade County, Florida. Brother Acosta, 49, passed away on July 12, 2024 from suicide related to a post-traumatic stress-related illness.

Funeral will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Amerant Bank Arena, 1 Panther Parkway, Sunrise, FL 33323; phone: (954) 835-7000.
