It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty death of Captain Mark S. Roedel, IAFF 10th District Local 2881, Cal Fire-Sacramento. Brother Roedel, 52, passed away from colon cancer on December 30, 2020.

Funeral will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Community Christian Church, 41762 Stetson Ave., Hemet, California 92544; phone: (951)929-2135.

Biographical Comments
Fire Captain Roedel Started his career as a FFII/Paramedic on 09/27/1999, He then Promoted to Paramedic/Engineer on 01/06/2003. He then Promoted to Fire Captain (B) on 05/07/2007 then to FC (A) Position on 09/021/2009 all in the Riverside Unit. He retired in 3/31/18 of job related cancer.
