It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Chief Travis L. Maher, IAFF 11th District Local 975 Austin, Texas. Brother Maher, 49, passed away on Dec. 28, 2022 after succumbing to an occupational cancer.

Visitation will be held on Jan. 2, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas 78752; phone: (512) 454-5611.
