It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Captain Stephen A. Monteiro Jr., IAFF 3rd District Local 144 - Brockton, Massachusetts. Brother Monteiro, 53, passed away on Jan. 1, 2025 after succumbing to occupational cancer.

Funeral services were held earlier this month.
