It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Fire Chief Chris Womack, IAFF 14th District Local 4019 –Ruston, Louisiana. Brother Womack, 54, passed away on Nov. 18, 2025 after succumbing to occupational cancer.



Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 21 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church, 1515 South Service Road West, Ruston, Louisiana 71270. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 10 a.m. at the same location.
