It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Fire Fighter/EMT, Michael Crawford

IAFF 4th District Local 104 Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. Brother Crawford, 53, passed away on April 28, 2026 from occupational cancer.



Visitation will be held on Saturday May 9, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at

King's College Scandlon Gymnasium,

North Main Street, Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania 18701. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the same location.

Biographical Comments
Family First. Firefighter Michael Crawford was known first and foremost for the love he had for his Wife and Children. Firefighter Crawford passed away on April 28th, 2026 following his nine month battle with esophageal cancer. Michael was a 25 year veteran of the Wilkes-Barre City Bureau of Fire, IAFF Local 104. He served as Truck 6 Tillerman before his assignment to the office of the Fire Inspector/Investigator. Michael retired following his diagnosis in July 2025.

A Visitation will be held Saturday May 9th, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at King's College Scandlon Gym, 150 N. Main St. Wilkes-Barre, PA. The Funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM in the same location.
