It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Captain Phillip P. Paternostro, IAFF 14th District Local 557, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Brother Paternostro, 54, passed away on Aug. 21, 2023, after succumbing to occupational cancer.

Services will be held at Istrouma Baptist Church, 10500 Sam Rushing Dr., Baton Rouge, LA 70816; phone: (225) 295-0775. Visitation will be held on Mon., Aug. 28, 2023, from 5-9 p.m. and on Tues., Aug. 29, 2023, from 9-11 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m.
