It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Deputy Chief, Scott Durfee
IAFF 14th District Local 4077 –
Caddo Parish, Louisiana. Brother Durfee, 54, passed away on March 2, 2026 after suffering a medical emergency.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6 from 8 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at The Pentecostals of Bossier City,
2833 Viking Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana 7111. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the same location.
Expressions of sympathy and condolences for the family and the Local can be sent to IAFF Local 4077, 7058 Old Mooringsport Rd, Shreveport, LA 71107.

Biographical Comments
Chief Scott Durfee dedicated twenty five years of his life to the community of Caddo Fire District #1 and to the fire service. Scott Durfee was a devout Christian and attended The Pentecostals of Bossier City. Scott Durfee loved riding his motorcycle all throughout the country. Scott Durfee was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, mentor, and friend to all he came in contact with. He will truly be missed.
