It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty death of Firefighter/EMT Jeffrey J. Billingsley, IAFF 9th District Local 858, Denver, Colorado. Brother Billingsley, 42, passed away on September 20, 2021 after suffering a medical emergency on the job.

The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Denver First Church, 3800 E. Hampden Avenue, Englewood, Colorado 80113; phone: (303) 761-8370.

Biographical Comments
DENVER – The Denver Fire Department (DFD) is saddened to announce the death of Technician Jeffrey J. Billingsley (42), who passed away during his work-shift on Monday, September 20th, 2021. Technician Billingsley was taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment by emergency room staff, but he did not regain consciousness and passed around at 4 pm (MST).

Jeff was a member of the department for over 19 years, most recently assigned at Denver International Airport (DEN) Fire Station #35. He had been recognized for his actions assisting in the rescue of three individuals from a fire in 2004, was active in the Denver Fire Department Pipes and Drums Corps playing drums at events and funerals, and was a board member on the Denver Fire Department Burn Foundation.

Jeff is survived by his girlfriend Lindsey Foster, his parents John and Margaret Billingsley, his brother Matt, sister Lisa, and nephew Henry.
