It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty death of Firefighter Jacob R. Flores, IAFF 10th District Local 2881, Cal Fire - Sacramento, California. Brother Flores, 45, passed away on January 14, 2022 from complications of Covid-19.

In Memory Of Firefighter Jake Flores (CAL FIRE), January 14th, 2022
Jake Flores, a 45 year old CAL FIRE Firefighter, passed away on January 14th, 2022, succumbing to a job-related illness. Jake spent the last 18 years unselfishly committed to protecting the citizens of Riverside County and the State of California. Jake spent his career mastering multiple disciplines, including, but not limited to Helitack Firefighter (Hemet-Ryan), HazMat Specialist (Station 34), Engine Fireman (Station 7) and his last assignment as a Truck Fireman (Station 97). Jake’s tremendous spirit and contagious energy left a mark on every individual that was fortunate enough to have worked with him. Jake is survived by his wife, Krizia and his three children, Sophia Pearl (13), Jacob Rio (11), and Ruby Beatriz (8). Jake will be deeply missed, but his legacy will forever live.
