It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Division Chief Tara Hill, IAFF 2nd District Local 3808, Kansas City, Missouri. Sister Hill, 48, passed away on Oct. 26, 2026, from occupational cancer.



Visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 2 from 9:00 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Saint Mark Catholic Church,? 3736 South Lee's Summit Road, ?Independence, Missouri 64055. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the same location.
