It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty death Lieutenant Chris Askew, IAFF District 11 Local 4147, Westlake, Texas. Brother Askew, 53, passed away from esophageal cancer on May 12, 2019.

On Sunday, May 12th, loving husband and father, Lieutenant Chris Askew, passed away peacefully at the age of 53.

Chris served the Westlake Fire Department for 15 years. If you were looking for a great fireman, friend, or role model, you couldn't do much better than Chris Askew. He was a good man and he will be missed.

Chris leaves behind a loving wife and two children.
