It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Fire Marshal Jeff Tomczak, IAFF 4th District Local 302 – Allentown, Pennsylvania. Brother Tomczak, 44, passed away on July 26, 2024 after succumbing to occupational cancer.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Aug. 2, 2024 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 3 from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, PA 19446; phone: (215) 855-1311. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, Aug. 3 at 11 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church.

Biographical Comments
It is with deep regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Fire Marshal Jeffrey Tomczak , IAFF 4th District Local 302 -Allentown Fire Department, Pennsylvania.

Jeff passed away peacefully at age 44 in his residence surrounded by his family after a valiant 15-month battle.

Jeff is survived by the love of his life Brittany, along with sons Matthew Gregory, aged 14 and Connor Michael, aged 10.

It was no secret that Jeff had a profound calling and passion for service to others and firefighting. His career spanned a myriad of emergency service duty positions with multiple agencies. His robust skill set placed him on the AFD's Hazmat, Tech Rescue, and Dive teams. He also loved passing his knowledge and experience on to the newest members of Allentown in his role as an academy training staff member and as an adjunct instructor for the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy.

When not in service to others, Jeff spent every second making life adventurous with his family and friends.
