It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Fire Fighter Andrew L. Pontious, IAFF 10th District Local 1014 – Los Angeles County, California. Brother Pontious, 52, was killed while fighting a large vehicle fire on June 14, 2024.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Cottonwood Church, 4505 Katella Avenue, Los Alamitos, CA 90720; phone: (714) 947-5300. The service will be livestreamed on the Los Angeles County Fire Department’s YouTube channel.
