Biographical Comments
The Coppell Fire Fighters Association regrets to announce the passing of Firefighter/Paramedic Michael Williams after a 10 year battle with Multiple Myeloma.
Michael Williams was hired by the City of Coppell (TX) in 2005 as a Firefighter/Paramedic. In 2009, Michael was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a cancer of plasma cells. Over the next ten years, Michael would fight the cancer valiantly and endure difficult treatments that would allow him to return to duty for periods of time, sometimes up to a year. During this time, Michael started the non-profit “Michael’s Memories” to assist other firefighters with cancer ensure that they would create lasting memories with their loved ones by paying for an all-inclusive vacation for them and the family.
In late 2018, his treatments stopped working. Michael was unable to return to duty. He continued to fight and lived longer than the doctors had predicted. Michael spent his final months visiting family and spending time with his parents and daughter.
Michael leaves behind his mother, Judy Warren, his father, Mike Williams, and his daughter, Madison (19).
