It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Lieutenant Michael P. Lynch, IAFF 8th District, Local 2- Chicago, Illinois . Brother Lynch, 50, passed away on Sept. 28, 2024 after succumbing to occupational cancer.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024 from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 West Belmont Avenue, Chicago, IL 60634. The Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024 at 10 a.m. at St. Eugene Catholic Church, 7958 West Foster Avenue, Chicago, IL 60656.
