It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Firefighter Michael C. Smith, IAFF 4th District Local 293, Erie, Pennsylvania. Brother Smith, 47, passed away on February 26, 2023, after succumbing to an occupational cancer.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 12-4 p.m. at The Bayfront Convention Center, 1 Sassafras Pier, Erie, PA 16507. The Funeral Service will follow at 4 p.m.
