It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty death of Lieutenant Dennis teBoekhorst of IAFF Local 4449 - Maple Ridge, British Columbia. Brother teBoekhorst, 42, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from a heart attack.

The Maple Ridge Fire Department will lead a full honors parade on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, beginning at 9:30 a.m. starting at the ACT Arts Centre, 11944 Haney Place, Maple Ridge, British Columbia. Uniform muster time is at 8:45 a.m. in front of the Arts Centre. The parade route will end at the Maple Ridge Baptist Church, 22155 Lougheed Highway, Maple Ridge, British Columbia V2X 5V3, (604) 467-9613. A Celebration of Life will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the church.
