Biographical Comments
Orlando firefighter Amanda Adams faithfully served the residents and visitors of the City of Orlando and Orange County for over 20 years.

She started her career as a 911 dispatcher before moving forward to become a firefighter/EMT with Orange County Fire Rescue. Shortly after beginning her firefighter career, she transitioned over to the Orlando Fire Department where she had an established family connection following her step-father, brother-in-law, and later husband. After a few years with the City of Orlando, she continued her education by becoming a Paramedic.

Amanda was diagnosed with a rare form of aggressive cancer that was linked to her career as a firefighter. She fought fearlessly, undergoing multiple different treatments that required excessive traveling, all while giving praise to God. Amanda’s light and love for God, family, and friends shone through to all she encountered.

Amanda went to be with her Lord on August 16th while being surrounded by the love and support of her family.
