It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Lieutenant John Joseph, IAFF 1st District Local 1071, Rochester, New York. Brother Joseph, 37, passed away on July 7, 2026, from occupational cancer.



Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 14 from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Bartolomeo and Perotto Funeral Home, 1411 Vintage Lane, Rochester, New York 14626. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 15, at 11 a.m. at Blue Cross Arena, 1 War Memorial Square, Rochester, New York 14614.
