It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Driver/Operator Charles Mudra, IAFF 4th District Local 734 – Baltimore, Maryland. Brother Mudra, 53, passed away on May 16, 2025, after suffering a medical emergency.



Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 5, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Duda-Ruck Funeral Home, 7922 Wise Ave, Dundalk, Maryland 21222. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6, at 11 a.m. at Church of the Nativity, 20 E Ridgley Road, Timonium, Maryland 21093.

Biographical Comments
Baltimore Firefighters IAFF Local 734 is deeply saddened to announce the Line of Duty death of Emergency Vehicle Driver Charles Mudra of Truck Company 20.

EVD Mudra tragically suffered a catastrophic medical emergency during a skills training session while on duty at the Fire Academy. A dedicated public servant and respected colleague, Charlie proudly served the Baltimore City Fire Department for 17 years.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and fellow firefighters. His service, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to the safety of our city will never be forgotten.
