It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Engineer Patrick Hayes, IAFF 8th District Local 2 - Chicago, Illinois. Brother Hayes, 46, passed away on Feb. 3, 2025 after succumbing to occupational cancer.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at McInerney Central Chapel, 4635 South Wallace St., Chicago, Illinois 60609. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, Feb. 7, 2025 at 10 a.m. at St. Gabriel Church, 600 W. 45th St., Chicago, Illinois 60609.
