It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Captain Derrick L. Nester, IAFF 4th District Local 4791 – Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. Brother Nester, 43, passed away on May 6, 2024, after suffering a medical emergency.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 17 2024, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, 111 N Reading Ave, Boyertown, PA 19512; phone: (610) 367-2345 and on Saturday, May 18 from 9-11 a.m. at St. Paul’s United Church-Christ, 1979 Weavertown Rd, Douglassville, PA 19518; phone: (610) 689-9364. The funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church.
