It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty death of Assistant Chief Michael L. Baker, IAFF 2nd District Local 64, Kansas City, Kansas. Brother Baker, 52, passed away on September 21, 2021 from complications of Covid-19.

Visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 201 NE Chandler Street, Topeka, Kansas 66616; phone: (785) 232-5088. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the church.
